There were many view regarding the western unification of Europe in the 1940's through 1980's. Many countries were truing to have a unified country through a common currency, that led to the 1991 Maastricht(Treat of European Union). Though some countries were reluctant or were anti-unification, and many were also for the implication, or pro-unification of Europe. Yet many were concerned for the military rivalries and others of the morality, social, and cultural views of Europe.
